Snow, hot cocoa, lunch, and granola

This morning we woke up to snow.
A lot of snow.
Well at first it was more like slush, but by the afternoon there was a nice blanket of white snow.

It was lovely, although the walk to church was really cold.

India's cute wet boots.

 My favorite thing about cold snowy days is the food that warms you to your toes;
Especially homemade hot chocolate!

Here's what Natalie's been making this afternoon...

Granola
8 cups rolled oats
2 cups coconut
1 cup Wheat Germ
1 cup pecans
1 cup sunflower seeds

Mix and add 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
3/4 vegetable oil
1/2 cup water
1 tsp vamilla

Spread on cookie sheet or put in a large pan.
Bake at 225 degrees for 3-4 hours.

And this is what we had for lunch...

Tomatoes and Balsamic Vinegar

Roasted Potatoes, cabbage, and onions

Our go-to lunch always has something to do with roasted potatoes and Balsamic vinegar.

Sunday thoughts:

“Don't you quit. You keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some come late. Some don't come until heaven. But for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. It will be alright in the end. Trust in God and believe in good things to come."
